Forest Minister N.Selvaraj declared open new buildings for the rural public libraries at Thiruthalaiyur and Moovanur in Musiri Panchayat Union on Saturday.
The library building at Thiruthalaiyur has been built at a cost of Rs.8 lakh.
The one at Moovanur was sanctioned at a cost of Rs.7.10 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Selvaraj appealed to the rural youth to make best use of the libraries to enhance their employability.
N.Siva, MP, R.Meenakshisundaram, Revenue Divisional Officer, Musiri, A.P.Sivakumar, District Library Officer, and other officials participated.
