Three persons were killed and 10 others injured after a State Express Transport Corporation bus rammed a lorry on the Tiruchi–Chennai national highway at Konalai near Siruganur in the early hours of Tuesday.
Police identified the deceased as R. Jayabalachandran (57), additional driver of the bus, N. Jeyaseeli (30) and J. Balamurugan (29). The bus was proceeding to Kanyakumari from Chennai.
While Jayabalachandran and Jeyaseeli were killed on the spot, Balamurugan succumbed to injuries at the Government Hospital here.
The Siruganur Police have registered a case.
