Water level in dams in district falls

Water level in the dams in the district continued to fall on Sunday.

Peppara dam

One more shutter of the Peppara dam has been closed with inflow from its catchment areas decreasing considerably.

While its water level has been maintained at 107.46 m, two shutters of the dam remained open.

Neyyar dam

The four shutters of the Neyyar dam were also lowered from 60cm to 30 cm with rain staying away in its catchment areas, including Agasthyakoodam region, during the last two days. The water level in the reservoir was 83.7 m.

Aruvikkara reservoir

Three of the six shutters of the Aruvikkara reservoir have been kept open with the water level falling to 46.4 m.
