Two held for ABVP worker’s murder

Two persons were arrested by the Chengannur police on Thursday in connection with the murder of an Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad worker near Christian College, Chengannur, on Monday

Two ABVP workers were injured in the incident.

Nazeem, 21, of Konni Ooottupara, who is also the unit secretary of the Campus Front at the college, and Shafeeque, 22, of Kurampala Kadakkad, who is a Popular Front worker, were the two arrested.

They were remanded in judicial custody by the Judicial First Class Magistrate’s Court in Chengannur.
