Traffic woes: SPC to convene meet

State Police Chief (SPC) Loknath Behera will convene a meeting of stakeholders on November 24 to address the traffic woes of the State capital. The discussion, which will be held at the Armed Reserve Police camp in Nandavanam, will involve various cross-sections including representatives of residents associations, drivers, school authorities and traders.

The Kerala Police have requested those intending to attend the meeting to send in their questions in advance by mailing them to dgp.pol@kerala.gov.in within 5 p.m. on November 21.

The meeting will explore various options to effectively regulate vehicular flow including imposing restrictions on lorries traversing the arterial roads of the city during peak hours, shifting bus stops that are located close to traffic signals, and steps to ensure lane discipline among motorists.
