Time for ‘Qisa’ again, entries invited

‘Prathidhwani’s Qisa,’ the short film festival organised annually by Prathidhwani, the socio-cultural and welfare organisation of IT employees at the Technopark here, is once again here.

Entries have been invited for the sixth edition of the festival featuring works by IT employees in Kerala. The jury consists of filmmakers Siddarth Shiva and Vidhu Vincent as members and film critic M.F. Thomas as its chairman. The last date for submitting the entries is November 25. The selected films will be screened on December 2 at the Travancore Hall, Technopark.

A cash award of ₹11,111 awaits the best film and ₹5,555 each for second best film, best script, and best director respectively. Best performer (male/female), cinematographer and editor will also receive special awards. There will be a film review competition along with the festival, the details of which will be published on Prathidhwani website soon.

It is mandatory that the director and the scriptwriter of the entries should be an employee of an IT company in Kerala. The running time of the film should be between 2 to 45 minutes. Films that had participated in previous Qisa festivals will not be considered.
