Three vehicles seized

October 31, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:46 am IST - THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:

District Collector Biju Prabhakar on Friday seized three vehicles that were engaged in election campaigning without exhibiting the permits for doing the same. The vehicles were seized from Kalathara, Mailamoodu and Vembannoor and were later handed over to the Aruvikkara police. The Collector pointed out that despite having permits for campaigning, the same were not displayed on the vehicles. Such violations of the law could lead to the candidate being declared ineligible apart from adding the expenses to the candidate’s campaign expenses, he said. — Special Correspondent
