Three held on charge of trading in heroin

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday arrested three persons, including two Maldivian nationals, on the charge of trading in heroin.

NCB zonal director S. Davidson Devasirvatham identified the Maldivian nationals as Abdullah and Fayaz Hussain. The third person is Abdul Kabeer, a resident of Vallakkadavu.

The NCB said its enforcers seized one kg of heroin valued at Rs.1 crore in the black market from the suspects.

The drug was meant to be smuggled to The Maldives, according to the NCB.
