Signature film contest

The Kerala State Chalachitra Academy (KSCA) has invited filmmaking aspirants and enthusiasts to submit ideas for a signature film contest to be held in the run-up to the 20th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), which will be held in the capital from December 4 to 11.

The contest is part of a KSCA initiative to search for and promote young talents, fresh ideas, innovative storytelling and novel approaches to filmmaking. The submission judged the best will receive a cash prize of Rs.25,000. The achievement will also be recognised at the festival’s opening ceremony. The entry will be evaluated by a jury comprising pioneers from the film industry.

Ideas and storyboards may be sent to the Secretary, Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, Sasthamangalam, Thiruvananthapuram before October 20 and can be submitted by mail or in person. Call: +918137990802.
