The Students Federation of India(SFI)-All-India Students Federation (AISF) combine coasted to a comfortable victory in the Kerala University Union elections and elections to the student constituency of the Senate of the University of Kerala.
In the University Union elections, S.R. Arya from Kollam was elected chairman and B. Nias from Thiruvananthapuram the general secretary. R. Amal, Balasubramanian, and B.S. Arya were elected vice chairpersons. J. Vignesh and U. Amal (AISF) were elected joint secretaries.
Executive council
Of the 14 seats in the executive council, the SFI bagged 11 and the AISF, one. The SFI bagged three of the five seats in the accounts committee.
In the elections to 10 seats in the student constituency of the university Senate, the SFI won five seats and the AISF, one.
In the elections to the students’ council, the SFI managed to win eight of the 10 seats.
