Reinquiry ordered into death of Dalit youth

: The Kerala State Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes has ordered a police reinquiry into the death of a Scheduled Tribe (ST) youth in suspicious circumstances in a lodge in Kollam.

The youth, Sanalkumar, was found dead hanging in the room a few days before his marriage. He was an employee of Hindustan Unilever Food Ltd. His parents had moved commission chairman P.N. Vijayakumar stating that they were not satisfied with the ongoing inquiry.

The chairman has ordered the police to submit its reinquiry report within six months. — Special Correspondent
