SBI attack: Six union leaders surrender

Six NGO union leaders who were accused of vandalising the SBI Treasury Branch during the general strike surrendered before the police on Monday night.

The police identified them as Suresh Kumar, 46, (GST Department), P.K. Vinukumar, 44, (Audit Department), M. Suresh Babu, 46, (GST Department), M.S. Sreevalsan, 56, (Treasury), K.A. Bijuraj, 50, (Health Department), and Anil Kumar, 50, (Civil Supplies).

Two arrested

The union leaders surrendered at the Cantonment police station at 10 p.m., the police said.

The police had earlier arrested two NGO union leaders in connection with incident.
