Rs.37 lakh for temple vault

The Supreme Court, on Wednesday, sanctioned Rs.37 lakh for strengthening vault C of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple here.

A Bench comprising Justices R.M. Lodha and A.G Patnaik ruled that the temple administration would bear one-third of this amount and the State government the rest.

The court directed the expert committee headed by conservationist M.V. Nair to take a clear stand on opening of vault B after completing the inventory of all the other vaults.

On panel reports

The reports submitted by the committee on the progress of the inventorying would be kept by the court registrar in a sealed cover, the court said. The next hearing on the case has been scheduled on August 8.
