Roadshow for city gas bidding round

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB), the nodal agency for facilitating economic activities in natural gas distribution, is organising a roadshow here on January 22 for promoting the 10th City Gas Distribution (CGD) bidding round.

The event is part of a series of roadshows planned by the PNGRB across India over the last few weeks before the deadline for bid submissions on February 5.

It is expected to be attended by senior government officials, academia, trade associations and investors from the oil and gas sector, sources said.

The 10th CGD Bidding Round comprises 50 geographical areas covering 124 districts in 14 States.

During the ninth round, CGD authorization was given by the PNGRB in four geographical areas in Kerala covering Kozhikode, Wayanad, Malappuram, Kannur, Kasaragod, Palakkad and Thrissur districts.

The 10th round covering Alappuzha, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram districts is a major initiative in providing clean energy to the people of Kerala.
