The Kerala State Youth Commission has decided to direct the Public Service Commission (PSC) to include a third column in its application forms, including those for the one-time registration, to enable transgenders to enter government service.

The youth commission’s adalat here on Wednesday decided to direct various departments about the concerns of PSC rankholders. It was decided to seek a report from the department concerned about a complaint that a person was yet to receive a job even after nine months of receiving an advice memo.

The adalat decided to seek an explanation from the authorities concerned about the expulsion of a girl from the Sree Chithra Home. It was decided to seek an explanation from the University of Kerala about complaints that the delay in the publication of the results of the 2008 scheme engineering examinations was costing students dear.

The adalat was headed by commission chairperson Chintha Jerome.
