Police pensioners seek welfare board

: The Kerala Police Pensioners’ Welfare Association has demanded the formation of a Police Welfare Board on the lines of the Sainik Welfare Board. Association president A.K. Venugopal, chairman P.K. Lambhodharan Nair and general secretary A.M. Ismail told a news conference here on Friday that there should be a free medical care scheme for retired police personnel, as was being provided for retired defence personnel.

The 32{+n}{+d}State conference of the association will be held here on Sunday.
