Paint on public walls, get paid

The District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) is providing an opportunity for artists to paint murals on city walls. In its initial phase, the programme, titled ‘Arteria,’ will provide space for painting on a nearly 8,000 sq ft wall of the University Stadium. The paintings, each of which must be 20-ft long and 7-ft high, must be based on the topics of heritage, history, culture and tourism. Paintings can be done using acrylic, enamel, and emulsion.

Organisers say rewards will be provided at a maximum rate of Rs.100 per sq ft, including painting expenses. Prototypes prepared in the scale of 5:3 must be submitted along with the bio-data to the Secretary, General Convener (Arteria), DTPC, Opposite Raj Bhavan, Kowdiar P.O., Thiruvananthapuram-3 before July 22. Multiple entries can be submitted by applicants, a release said.
