Padanotsavam in schools from Jan. 26

Social audit to assess learning outcomes

Padanotsavam, a social audit to assess learning outcomes, will be held in all State schools from January 26 till the start of the next academic session.

This was decided at the first governing council meeting of the Samagra Shiksha, Kerala, at the Assembly complex conference hall here on Thursday.

Minister for Education C. Ravindranth presided over the meeting, the first after the SSA and the RMSA were subsumed into Samagra Shiksha.

Objectives

More projects will be implemented by Samagra Shiksha to raise the schools into centres of excellence as part of the Public Education Rejuvenation Mission.

It was decided to attract more students to the schools and conduct various activities with the participation of people in schools where the student strength is low.

General Education Secretary A. Shajahan, SCERT Director J. Prasad, Higher Secondary Director P.K. Sudheerbabu, Samagra Shiksha, Kerala, A.P. Kuttykrishnan, and SIET Director B. Aburaj were present at the meeting.
