The updated website of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple — sreepadmanabhaswamytemple.org — was launched here on Wednesday by the head of the ruling family of erstwhile Travancore Uthradom Tirunal Marthanda Varma.

The launch ceremony was held at Pattom Palace. The executive officer of the temple V.K. Harikumar and administrative officer G. Jayasekharan Nair were present on the occasion.

The updated website contains, among other things, the history of the temple, details of the pujas, entry timings, besides details about the deities and festivals. The new site also sports an online booking facility for Vazhipadu.

The temple authorities said devotees could also make use of the net banking facility to pay for ‘vazhipadu.' This facility has been readied in collaboration with the South Indian Bank. The temple, in collaboration with the HDFC bank, has also put in place a payment gateway to allow for payments using credit or debit cards.

The website can also be accessed through the URL www.ananthasayanam.org.
