The Kerala Catholic Reform Movement, a combine of mostly lay persons seeking reforms in the Church and implementation of the Church Act, said here on Saturday that its members would protest against a pastoral letter from Cardinal Mar George Alencherry, Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Church, restricting dissent and threatening punishment.

Joseph Vargehse, vice chairman of the KCRM, said that its members would gather in front of the Archbishop’s House, near Ernakulam Market, on Sunday at 11 a.m. to burn copies of the pastoral letter.
