KSFDC board members resign en masse

Board members of the Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC) tendered their resignation en masse in protest against the appointment of Congressman Rajmohan Unnithan as the corporation chairman.

According to sources, Dileep, Idavela Babu, Maniyanpillai Raju, Siddique, Kaladi Omana, and Ibrahim Kutty, filmmaker Shaji Kailas, and cinematographer S.Kumar have sent in their resignation letters. In addition to Rajmohan Unnithan, two other Congress party members K.C. Abu and Sasthamangalam Mohan were appointed to the director board. Among the existing board members, only actor Salim Kumar came out with a statement supporting Mr. Unnithan’s appointment. He had stated that Mr. Unnithan was eligible for the post.
