Mizoram Governor Kummanam Rajasekharan has called for efforts to build a rainbow bridge linking Kerala with the northeastern State for better exchange of ideas.

At a civic reception organised for him here on Wednesday, he stressed the need for the two States to find common ground and build upon the achievements in education sector. “As fully literate States, Mizoram and Kerala have much to share. If Kerala’s ranking on the UN human development index equals that of developed nations, it is largely owing to the thrust on education, especially education of women. In my Constitutional role as Governor, I hope to replicate Kerala’s experience in this area for the benefit of people in Mizoram,” he said.

“In Mizoram, there is a proverb that truth is a steep slope while the path of falsehood is level. I believe it is my duty as Governor to support the people of Mizoram in pursuance of truth,” he said.
