The district administration has declared a holiday on Friday for all educational institutions functioning at Palayam, Jagathy, Thampanoor, Vazhuthacaud, Thycaud, Fort, Chala, Vanchiyoor, Chakka, Kannanmoola, Sasthamangalam, Kowdiar, Kuravankonam, Kesavadasapuram, Nanthancode, Kunnukuzhy, Attakulangara and Muttada areas. This is in view of the protest called by the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and Yuva Morcha in front of the Legislative Assembly on the day.
However, the University, Board and Higher Secondary examinations would be held as per schedule, an official release here said.
