An excise squad on Friday arrested three members of a drug racket who were smuggling hashish oil from the parking lot of a bar hotel at Mannanthala here. Ten kg of hashish oil was seized from them. The accused have been identified as Ranees (39) from Vanchiyoor, Anoop (28) from Veeranakavu and Vineesh (39) from Peechi in Thrissur. Officials said Vineesh had smuggled the hashish oil from Thrissur, concealing in it a car, to be sold to Ranees, who owns a hotel in the city. Cash to the tune of ₹13 lakh, advance amount for the drug supply, was also recovered.
