Grabbing a slice of Chinese tourism pie

May 24, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 08:22 am IST - THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:

Kerala Tourism will organise its maiden roadshow at Shanghai in China and participate in the Beijing International Tourism Expo, to bring Chinese tourists to Kerala during the ongoing Visit Kerala Year 2015.

After Sri Lanka, China is being tapped to enhance tourist arrivals by 10 per cent this year. The move has received a shot in the arm with the agreement reached between the two countries during the recent visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to China. Minister for Tourism A.P. Anil Kumar will lead the delegation to the three-day Beijing expo from June 26 which will be held at the China National Convention Centre.
