Forest training institutes to be upgraded


Minister says steps on to revise syllabus of trainees

The government is preparing to modernise the State Forest Training Institutes at Arippa and Walayar and convert them into centres of excellence, Forest Minister K. Raju has said.

Speaking after receiving the salute at a passing-out parade of beat forest officers at Arippa here on Thursday, he said the institutes would soon be equipped with the latest training facilities to churn out forest officials of high calibre. Moves were on to set up a stadium with synthetic track, swimming pool, indoor stadium, and other basic facilities.
