One injured as scooter rams bus

A 49-year-old differently abled man was killed after the scooter he was riding rammed a KSRTC bus at Karyavattom on Tuesday.

The police identified the deceased as Aji, hailing from of Parassala.

The accident occurred around 7.30 a.m. when Aji, a mason, was headed for his workplace in Kazhakuttom along with his friend, Biji, on his three-wheel scooter. Biji, who was riding pillion, sustained serious injuries and is being treated at the Government Medical College here.

The scooter allegedly rammed the bus that was halted at the Karyavattom bus stand.

Aji is survived by his wife, Shylaja, and two daughters, the police said.
