: Communist Party of India (Marxist) district secretary Kadakampally Surendran has filed a complaint with the Governor, demanding action against Lok Ayukta Pius.C.Kuriakose for his statement that all candidates for the Aruvikkara by-election, except the UDF candidate, own flats in the controversial land in Pattoor.

He made the statement on Friday, during the trail proceedings in the Patoor land case.

Mr. Surendran said that such a statement, which can create confusion in the minds of voters, coming from a person heading a quasi-judiciary body is a serious dereliction of duty. The Governor should take strict action against the Lok Ayukta, he said. — Staff Reporter
