CM to open IDSFFK on July 20

206 docus, short films, campus films to be screened

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the 11th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK) at the Kairali theatre on July 20. Minister for Cultural Affairs A.K. Balan will preside. Noted documentary filmmaker Rakesh Sharma will be the chief guest.

A total of 206 works will be screened across various categories at the Kairali, Sree and Nila theatres from July 20 to 24. A total of 64 works, including those in the long documentary, short documentary, short fiction, and campus film categories, will compete at the festival. Besides, 13 music videos and nine animation films have been included in the programme. Master class, Open forum, and In Conversation With will be some of the segments to be organised on the sidelines of the festival.

Delegate registrations can be done through the website www.idsffk.in .

Registration fee is ₹300 for adults and ₹150 for students. Delegate cards will be distributed from July 19. A help desk for registration has been opened at the academy office at Sasthamangalam.
