Health Minister V.S. Sivaakumar has on Tuesday launched a ‘Clean Campus’ campaign in the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College in connection with the monsoon disease control operations of the government.

The campaign, the Minister said, would play role in improving the house-keeping system apart from ensuring clean premises for the Medical College Hospital, SAT Hospital, the nursing hostel, and the medical college.

Curb diseases

Pointing out that this was essential to ensure that people who came to the MCH to cure their ailments did not contract more diseases, the Minister said doctors, hospital staff and the college fraternity would have to join their hands to make the campaign a success.

Medical College principal Thomas Mathew, Superintendent K. Mohandas, SAT Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth and others were present.
