Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State unit president V. Muraleedharan has said that Chief Minister Oommen Chandy should resign as he has lost support of even leaders of the UDF constituents.
The Chief Minister should go for a midterm poll as Kerala Congress (B) leader R. Balakrishnan Pillai and Government Chief Whip P.C. George had spoken against Finance Minister K.M. Mani which, in turn, were aimed at Mr. Chandy also. Mr. Pillai had alleged that the Chief Minister was protecting Mr. Mani who allegedly took bribes from bar owners, gold merchants, and others, Mr. Muraleedharan said in a statement.
