The State Institute of Languages will release 141 non-fiction and reference books next Monday.
Politicians, journalists, literary figures, cultural leaders, scientists, teachers, artists, and readers will release the books at the function to be held at the open air auditorium, Vyloppilly Samskrithi Bhavan. Director of the institute M.R. Thampan told a press conference here on Wednesday that this was the first time so many books were being released at a function.
The books cover a wide range of subjects from music, art, literature, philosophy, and cinema to folk art, science, agriculture and technology.
Mr. Thampan said the institute was working on a project for standardisation of Malayalam content for the Web.
