Body of businessman from Vithura found in TN

The charred remains of a businessman from Vithura here were found in a gutted car at Kulasekharam in Kanyakumari of Tamil Nadu on Monday.

The Vithura police, based on information from the Kulasekharam police, have identified the body as that of Ramesh Kumar, 38, of Theviyode, who owned a furniture store near Vithura.

Car identified

The police said the car, found early on Monday, was identified as that of Rajesh, the brother of Ramesh, based on the engine and chassis numbers.

Registration plates

The registration plates were burnt beyond recognition.

Rajesh has told the police that his brother had taken the car and left home on Sunday and had not returned.

The body was brought to Vithura by evening on Monday after an autopsy at the Nagercoil Medical College.

Ramesh is survived by his wife and two children.

The Kulasekharam police are currently investigating the case.
