Bid to tarnish image: Biju Prabhakar

January 14, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:55 am IST - Thiruvananthapuram:

District Collector Biju Prabhakar has said the recent Lok Ayukta notice issued to him over the Pattoor land issue was part of a conspiracy to tarnish his name.

Mr. Prabhakar told mediapersons here on Tuesday that he would move the High Court to get his name cleared.

The Lok Ayukta went ahead as per the evidence, but the evidence itself was twisted by certain people whose names would be revealed in the court, he said.

In response to a question on the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau’s report to him, asking for the closure of all the quarries at Mookkunnimala, he said only illegal quarries could be closed down.
