Animation meet at Technopark

Philippe Gluckman, creative director of DreamWorks, will attend the Animation Masters Summit being organised by Toonz Animation at Technopark here on May 8 and 9.

Mr. Gluckman was part of DreamWorks’ animated feature films such as Puss in Boots , Rise of the Guardians , Shrek the Third , and The Madagascar series: Madagascar , Escape 2 Africa , and Madagascar 3 as visual effects supervisor.

Most recently, he was the visual effects supervisor for Penguins of Madagascar , the first DreamWorks feature film principally produced in India.

Mr. Gluckman began his career as a traditional 2-D animator, as a partner with Storyboard and assistant animator at Cartoon Farm, both located in Paris. He studied graphic arts at the Ecole Nationale D’Arts Appliques, Paris.

At the summit, he will speak about the production of Penguins of Madagascar as this was the first project of DreamWorks that was completely produced at the company’s Bengaluru unit right from conception to final delivery.

The summit will be open to all animation enthusiasts and students.
