University education and life on the campus today suffers from a lack of warm personal relationships, Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment executive vice-president V.N. Rajasekharan Pillai has said.
Delivering the C.N. Purushothaman Nair commemorative lecture organised by the Institute of Management Development and Research (IMDR) here on Saturday, he said campus life in the old days was marked by camaraderie and a lasting bond between students and teachers.
He recalled his days at the University of Calicut as a hostel resident in the room next to C.N. Purushothaman Nair and A. Sukumaran Nair who were a generations ahead.
Dr. Sukumaran Nair presided over the function.
