One held for assault
Prasad, 34, a resident of Cheruvakkal at Aakkulam, was arrested on Saturday in connection with an attempt to murder case. Circle Inspector of Police, Medical College Circle, Sheen Tharayil, said in a release that the accused had assaulted Ramachandran, who was running a textile showroom at Palayam, with lethal weapons. The incident occurred five months ago at Aakkulam. Four persons involved in the crime were arrested immediately after the incident. Prasad was remanded in judicial custody.
