Two school students drowned while bathing in the Karamana river at Maruthurkadavu in Fort police station limits.
They identified the deceased as Amal and Sudeep, both aged 12 and residents of Kalady.
The Fire and Rescue Department and the police fished their bodies out of the water in the afternoon.
The police have registered a case of unnatural death.
