Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, on Monday, said his organisation was committed to functioning according to the Constitution and the rule of law and cautioned RSS activists to be wary of false propaganda against the organisation.
Delivering the inaugural address after declaring open ‘Sakthi Vihar,' the new building of the RSS ‘karyalaya' here in the city, Mr. Bhagwat asserted that the RSS wanted to mobilise the Hindu society on peaceful lines and for larger social good. This was the strength of the organisation and was not intended to create fear in others. Terror was also a kind of force, but was temporary and destructive. The power of Hindu unity was not destructive, he said, quoting the scriptures.
Mr. Bhagwat said the construction of a new building had imposed an additional responsibility on the workers to ensure the growth of the organisation without being concerned about the up and downs it might face.
C.G. Rajagopal, chairman of the Karyalaya Construction Committee, presided over the public function organised in this connection. Bharghava Ram of Sree Ramadasa Mission, Sivaamrithachaitanya of Amritanandamayi Ashrama, Kaimanam, and Swami Samvidhananda of Sivagiri Math were among those attended the function.
M.S. Rameshan Nair, Mahanagar Sanghchalak, welcomed the gathering. P. Sudhakaran, District Karyavah, proposed a vote of thanks.
