Corporation to collect pet bottles, used pens

The city Corporation will be collecting plastic pet bottles and used ball pens for an art installation as part of an exhibition and sales mela of cloth and paper bags, which the local body is organising ahead of a complete ban on plastic carry bags.

The public can hand over these items at counters to be opened at the Sree Chithira Thirunal Park at Fort, Putharikkandam grounds, Jagathy grounds, Poojappura grounds, Kazhakuttam ward committee office, Pippinmoodu Junction, Vanchiyoor Junction, HI office-Chakka, Peroorkada Market, and the HI office-Vattiyurkavu on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
