Two ABVP activists were injured in clashes between ABVP and DYFI workers at Njekkad, near Kallambalam, over the location of a new flag post on Friday afternoon. According to the Kallambalam police, a few ABVP activists had put up a flag post in front of the Njekkad government school on Thursday. On Friday, DYFI activists put up their own flag post near that and removed ABVP’s flag post, which led to the clash. The BJP has declared a hartal in four panchayats of Kallambalam on Saturday, in protest against the incident.
