Action plan against fever

The district medical administration is planning a special programme for prevention and control of dengue fever, malaria and H1N1. District Medical Officer N.Sridhar said here on Friday that a decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of field-level officials.

The programme involves deploying special teams for mass fogging, spraying of larvicides, destruction of vector breeding grounds, house-to-house campaign and field survey in vulnerable areas. Dr.Sridhar said the programme and the funds needed for its implementation were ready.

Additional DMO K.I.George, district programme manager Dr.G.Sunilkumar, Junior Administrative Medical Officer S.Sugathan and other officials participated.
