The State government has sanctioned ₹4.99 crore to set up a career development centre at Karamana.

The centre will provide guidance that helps students select career-based courses. Besides career planning, training in competitive examinations, psychometric tests and career counselling will be provided at the centre. A modern library system, reading rooms, studio for online education, computer lab, seminar hall, and training rooms will be some of the other facilities on offer.

Services of expert career advisors will be made available so that students can chose courses and institutions for higher education easily.

The centre will be developed into a model career development institution, said Minister for General Education V. Sivankutty.
