12th edition of IDSFFK to begin on June 21

Governor P.Sathasivam will inaugruate the 12th edition of the International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala( IDSFFK), organised by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, at the Kairali theatre at 6 p.m. on June 21. Culture Minister A.K. Balan will preside over the function. The festival will be held from June 21 to 26.

The delegate registration can be done in the website www.idsffk.in .

The delegate fee in the general category is ₹400, while for the student category, it is ₹200. A help desk for delegate registration will begin functioning at the Kairali theatre from Saturday onwards. A total of 263 films in various categories will be screened at the festival across three screens at Kairali, Sree and Nila theatres.

Competition categories

Out of this, 63 films are in the competition categories for long documentary, short documentary, short fiction and campus film. In the international category, 44 films have been included, while the focus category has 74 films and Malayalam category has 19 films.

As part of the festival, open forum, in conversation and seminar sessions will be held.
