A wild elephant was spotted on the Shiradi Ghat crossing the National Highway 75 on Saturday. A Forest Department official told The Hindu that it was seen crossing the national highway at about 3 p.m. The tusker did not damage any vehicles operating on the national highway or property.

The elephant did not cause any damage to any farm land near Gundia. According to Forest guards, it must have gone inside the forests using the Kempu Hole.
