They pedal their way to Goa

In all, five members of the Mangalore Bicycle Club have pedalled from Mangaluru to Goa covering about 300 km in two days.

Achinthya Rao, Ankith Shetty, Dhrushya Billave, Gautham Rao and Shawn Patrao started their ride on April 27 from Karnataka Polytechnic Junction at 3.50 a.m. They reached Goa at 4.10 p.m. on April 28, according to a release from the club.

They were followed by two support vehicles with necessary supplies.

Enjoying the scenic coastal belt, they reached Kundapura at 10 a.m. and Kumta at 4 p.m., where they halted on the first day. They began their journey from Kumta at 7.30 a.m. on April 28.

They will be heading back to Mangaluru on their support vehicles after a few days.

The boys covered the total distance at an average speed of 24 kmph, the release said.
