The Hindu EducationPlus Career Counselling Session is back to lend a helping hand to students on the verge of pursuing higher studies to embark on a career. The annual event, which will help students and their parents get the right perspective on choosing a career, will feature experts to offer information on the ‘hows’and ‘whats’ of courses.

The sessions will be held on May 23 and May 24 in seven places across the State.

At Mangaluru, the event will be held on May 24 from 10 a.m. at Geetha M. Shetty Hall, Sri Ramakrishna College, Bunts Hostel.

The event at Shivamogga will be held on May 23 at D.V.S. Ranga Mandira, DVS Circle from 10 a.m.

Officials of the Karnataka Examination Authority will make presentations and answer queries on the counselling and the seat allotment process for students who have written the Common Entrance Test and/or the Undergraduate Entrance Test.

In addition, general education experts, as well as experts from engineering, medicine, will be accessible to students to gain clarity on the options available in these streams.

Students will take home a free copy of ‘The Nxt Step’, a handbook, which boasts of well-researched articles charting trends and helping students plan their next step.

The Hindu EducationPlus invites students in Classes 10, 11 and 12 and Pre-University Courses, as well as their parents, to the programme. Entry is free of cost.
