The Dakshina Kannada Telecom District, Mangaluru, will conduct telephone adalat in July for all customers in the exchanges coming in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. Complaints regarding services provided and billed with respect to landlines will be considered. Complaints have to be submitted

The Yenepoya Moiden Kunhi Memorial Educational And Charitable Trust will be sponsoring few candidates for Engineering course at the Yenepoya Institute of Technology (formerly M.V. Shetty Institute of Technology) for the year 2015-16. Candidates from Karnataka, and Kasaragod district of Kerala who have scored more than 70 per cent marks in the qualifying II Pre-University or class 12 examination can apply. Selection will be on merit-cum-means basis. Preference will be given to Muslim students. Application with a photo of the candidate and copy of the marks card attested by the college principal should be submitted to P.C.M. Kunhi, Director, Yenepoya Moideen Kunhi Memorial Educational and Charitable Trust, Yenepoya University Campus, University Road, Deralakatte, Mangalore – 575 018. It should be filed by June 25, a release said.

Fisherman cautioned of strong winds

Fishermen have been warned of strong onshore winds from northwesterly to westerly directions along and off the Karnataka Coast in the next 24 hours. A release said the winds are likely to be between 45 and 55 kmph.
