The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday launched a seven-day ‘Bharata Gellisi Abhiyan’ (Make India Win Campaign) in Dakshina Kannada to muster support for Narendra Modi, the party’s prime ministerial candidate.

Pratap Simha Nayak, president of the district unit of the party, said on Thursday that the party workers at the booth-level began visiting houses seeking support for Mr. Modi. The campaign would end on November 13.

He said the workers of the Yuva Morcha would hold vehicle rallies and corner meetings as part of the campaign. During the ‘maha abhiyan’ on November 10, the party workers would visit houses under all 1,500 booths in the district seeking support for Mr. Modi.

The campaign was also aimed at persuading people to attend the BJP rally in Palace Grounds, Bangalore, on November 17 which will be addressed by Mr. Modi.
