The stretch of National Highway 75 on Shiradi Ghat will remain closed for traffic from 6 a.m. on January 20 until further orders.

The closure is for upgrading the 13-km stretch from Kempu Hole guesthouse to Adda Hole as a concrete road, according to a press release.

The release said that the ghat road would remain closed till the upgrading works are completed.

Light motor vehicles can use Charmadi Ghat, Kudremukh Ghat, Sampaje Ghat, Agumbe Ghat, Mala Ghat (Kudremukh) or Balebare Ghat, as an alternative to the national highway on Shiradi Ghat.

Heavy vehicles have been advised to use Sampaje Ghat as an alternative road for their onward journey.
